She has studied Middle Eastern Dancing since 1995, and also
teaches in the Lakewood area. She also grew up living a bit of a gypsy
lifestyle,
living in Japan, South Dakota, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and now Colorado.
Her first taste of dance was studying Scottish Highlands dancing, which she
pursued for a year. Tirzah enjoys other physical pursuits as well as dance; she
is/has a second degree blackbelt in Tae Kwan Do. She loves to cook and has had
much experience catering various events. Another passion is crafting jewelry,
which she began doing twenty years ago. For the past 15 she has been a vendor
at the Renaissance Festival, where her intricate beadwork is displayed on a cart
in the gypsy camp. Now, La Fontaine has grown into a successful business.
Tirzah also does custom costuming and alterations, which is just another reason
why the rest of the troupe loves her so much.
A common thread amongst the members of the group seems to be a love of travel,
and Tirzah has certainly enjoyed her many experiences around the globe.
Ports-of-call include Greece, Italy, France, England, Scotland, Ireland,
Switzerland, Japan, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Bali,
India, Australia, New Zealand, the Caribbean and Canada. Tirzah lives in
Lakewood with a self-proclaimed redneck husband and an uncontrollably
affectionate German Shepherd.
